Friday September 29th – 1st October saw Hetton IM church at Abbot Hall Grange-over-Sands. 42 men, women and young people travelled to share fellowship and all of us agree a great time was had by all.
After dinner on Friday Shaun Newton started the teaching sessions with an introduction to Pauls letter to the Colossians.
The Saturday sessions were taken by Andrew Faulkner. The first session ‘The conditions of employment for Christians’ reminded us that we must pray for each other and that truth and love go together.
Session two ‘Signposts’ asked about our relationship with God, the church and our family.
Andrew was very challenging and served the church well during the day.
the final session was taken by Ian Wren. ‘We should only pray for something if we are willing to be part of the answer’ Another challenging message
Keith Robinson challenged us all with a quiz night to round the day off.
Our last meeting together was for the breaking of bread on Sunday morning and we were thrilled that nearly all of us were able to take part. Some for the first time.
The elders and the deacons worked hard to make the weekend a success and I am sure everyone would aggree it was.
